MY MOTHER & ME
A photo of my mom and me 3 months ago. I only hope that I look like her in 25 years' time!

{HOUSEWARMING}
We had dinner at Dic and Lai's. They had a housewarming of sorts. After 4 years, their home is now done. A lot of the original wood had been eaten up by termites, so they did some major renovation.
Anyway, I love their bedroom furniture the best. A beautiful sleigh bed, a huge, padded trunk at the bottom of the bed, and a matching TV cabinet with lots of room for photos and other knick knacks. Of course, Rondic took his huge projector (?) TV from the living room and put it in their bedroom. Obviously, they had to have the TV cabinet customized for it, hehehe.
But beautiful bedroom sets for sure, with the kids' pictures on matching black frames above their heads. Speaking of "above the heads", they had a sort of skylight built in the ceiling as well. No more clunky, old-fashioned chandeliers from Mom and Dad's time. Oh no. Modern ceiling with lots of pinlights built in for a softer, glowing look. Some leather furniture would work well here, too.
Love their completely changed bathroom. They now had an island of sorts in the middle, as well as split up their small old bathroom and had separate stalls on opposite sides for the toilet and shower. The major thing they gave up was valuable closet space. No wonder Rondic majorly culled his clothes in the past months! Hehehe.
Their living room furniture was revamped as well. No more gross, chunky, carved, old-fashioned furniture. Think classic renaissance or baroque look for the original look. Hehehe. Our parents would KILL me if they could read my description of their old furniture --- which I STILL have in my possession, by the way. Sigh! Anyway, back to Dic and Lai's home. Their living room furniture was country. Soft, canvas-clothed furniture. Comfy, full of pillows. Huge throws on the floor as well, and wooden trunks as tables. Candles set on the table and non-matching lamps.
I can't recall if they kept the old chandeliers in the living rooms, but I would like to think they changed it. Chandeliers don't go very well with a country-look now, would it? :)
TTFN!
