My Laptop is so SLOOOOOOOOW!!!!

And no wonder! I've got 100+ megabytes left on my hard drive!!! Yup, you read it right, 100 MB. That's it! No wonder it's at crawling-speed! Sheesh! It's taking forever to do a simple thing in Photoshop, and even Word is not its usual friendly self to me! Aaargh! And of COURSE this had to happen THIS week, when I SO do NOT need this to happen!!!!

No choice, but to start backing up via Time Machine. Even my EHD is full, believe it or not! Time Machine had the temerity (!!!) to inform me that it had to delete my oldest back up (June of this year) on this particular back up disk because it was already bursting at the seams. O.M.G!!! What have I been doing?!?!?! LOLOL!!!!

So this morning alone, as I was getting ready to go to the office, I burned 3 DVDs worth of stuff. Whoa! I sure have a TON of things on my laptop! And to think it's only 7 months old!!! Scary, huh? Hehehehe. Can anyone say pack rat? Yes, I burn my kits to DVD after saving them on the EHD, but somehow, I *still* keep a lot on my laptop itself. I guess I'm being lazy AND I just want most everything on hand at a moment's notice :)

By the end of the whole day, I had burned TEN DVDs total!

After a few hours in the office in the morning where I was forced to finish the missalette for Mom and Dad's anniversary mass so that it could be submitted for printing, I headed to the parlor to have my waxing session. Yup, gotta get ready for the big day on Sunday, you know! And I would rather NOT have the whole shebang done in one day and stress having it done while having a million other things that need to be done instead. So....the smartest thing is to break it up :)

Today, I'm having my legs and underarms waxed. Nice and smooth, thank you very much. Didn't hurt at all. Blogging while having it done, hehehe. Nope, I never ever leave home without my laptop, hehehe.

And we got our costumes today! And man they are horrifically FUGLY!!!!! Yuck yuck and gross! Totally! Hehehe. Nothing to do BUT laugh, since it's too late to find someone else who can speed-sew a whole set for all of us! I'm going to need all the wines I can collect joining those wine of the month clubs to feel nice and bubbly and giggly and high.

Think I'm exagerrating? Look at these "wonderful" items:

First up is the skirt for the kids for Grease. This is actually quite cute. I was wishing ours would be the same....to no avail.

Instead, our skirt was this glob of cloth cinched at the top for what was passably called a waist. And mine was 4 inches too big, thank you very much. What, did she think I was an elephant?!?!? Hmp. Apparently!

Staying Alive. Supposed to be retro-ish, yes? Ummmm.....the person who did our costumes went the Flower Power route instead, hehehe:

The pants were retro-like, reminiscent of Mamma Mia's production of Dancing Queen, with uber-flared pants, stemming from shirring at the knee:

And --- get ready for this, ladies and gentlemen of blogland --- the piece de resistance of the whole ensemble.....

tada!!!!!

Please take note of the curtain-like fabric, with it's slight SHEEN for pete's sake! And the first thing I thought when I saw what I was supposed to wear: "O.M.G. Please please PLEASE let this NOT be mine!!!............Damn, it has MY name on it!!! Aaaargh!!!!"

And the crowning glory of this entire outfit? That horrendous LACE in front!!!! Raegan said it best, in a voice just dripping with sarcasm and barely-contained laughter: "Nice pajamas, Mama!"

Glorified pajamas, that is. Maybe I should sleep in them.

Okay, but we always try and look at the positive side, yes? The girls were excited to try on their first-ever formal pair of HIGH-heeled shoes we bought yesterday, so we tried them on and struck our poses.

Not bad, really. The kids' costumes made up for my horrendous one. Sort of.

Well, you gotta admit. In the midst of all the stress that came with the wedding preparations, we needed a good laugh. And, our pajamas definitely provided us that! Hehehehe.... Again, ATITUDE!!! We're all in this together! :)
