School and a Holiday

Reese and Rielle were supposed to start school today. Riley won't be going until the 17th, and my kids won't be going until the 16th. "Supposed" to go to school...yup. Gloria Arroyo did her infamous holiday-economics or whatever the heck you call it. She's actually moved the celebration of Philippine Independence Day from the 12th to today. And Filipinos wonder where the heck our sense of patriotism has gone?!?!?! Grrr!

Anyway, we did make use of the holiday...

First off, I watched the Lakers-Celtics game live. And the Lakers won, whoohoohooo!!! The kids were bugging me to change the channel, but I told them it was MY room and I wanted to watch MY game. So there. In the afternoon, we trooped to Metro East to watch Prince Caspian; the kids hadn't seen this and they decided to wait for me to come home from the States before watching it.

Summary of this movie with the oh-so-handsome prince:
One year later, the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous realm, only to discover that more than 1,300 years have passed in Narnian time. During their absence, the Golden Age of Narnia has become extinct and Narnia has been conquered by the Telmarines and is now under the control of the evil King Miraz, who rules the land without mercy. The four children will soon meet a curious new character: Narnia's rightful heir to the throne, the young Prince Caspian, who has been forced into hiding, as his uncle Miraz plots to kill him in order to place his own newborn son on the throne. With the help of the kindly dwarf, a courageous talking mouse named Reepicheep, a badger named Trufflehunter and a Black Dwarf, Nikabrik, the Narnians--led by the mighty knights Peter and Caspian--embark on a remarkable journey to find Aslan, rescue Narnia from Miraz's tyrannical hold, and restore magic and glory to the land.
And the movie did keep us on the edges of our seats! When I looked over, Raegan had both hands in front of her face and Rogan's head was in his shirt! hehehehe. Raine had grabbed my hand and I told her to close her eyes if that would help. It was too funny!

After the movie, as the kids were at swimming, I was finally able to sit at my laptop and scrap scrap scrap the day away!

TAHO

LES BUISSONNETS

Oh it felt soooo good to start scrapping again! I think I've gotten my mojo back----keeping my fingers crossed! :)
