Just came from the hospital...after getting a private nurse for Tita San. Dr Bitanga says that we can take her home sometime this weekend, maybe on Sunday.
When we got to the hospital, I kind of figured it was too good to be true. Apparently, sometime around lunchtime, there was a problem with Tita San's urinary system. They had started clamping the catheter the night before, to train the bladder to hold the urine. However, for some strange reason, poop started coming out of the urinary tract (?). Is this even possible???
By the time we got to the hospital, even the residents were puzzled as to how this could happen. The damn OB-GYNE was taking forever to get to Tita San's bedside. She was, however, sound asleep, even snoring!
Not sure if she feels any pain, or if a lot of drugs have been pumped into her. Fleeting thought: assuming she is in pain and the doctors have prescribed tons of pain medication for her, will she develop an addiction to these drugs? Will she eventually have to undergo drug treatment?
Assuming further that she does, I'm not even sure if we have the proper facilities here to administer the treatment to her. For someone in Tita San's position, she needs a customized program, primarily because of her condition. Will the treatments interfere or exacerbate her brain tumor? Will it help in any way (probably not, but just thought to throw the question out in the open).
Hopefully, will know more about the poop-in-the-wrong-place incident before the night ends.
Will post new (and waaaaay better) pics of Tita San in a bit. Need to do yoga first.
