Happy 9th Birthday Raegan!!!

My baby is NINE YEARS OLD!!!!! Where did all those years go? Yikes!

We started the day by going to Mass at Pentecost...just the girls. Mama, Raegan and Raine. After Mass, I told Raegan to rush outside so that we could catch the priest and ask for a birthday blessing.

The priest, with a twinkle in his eye, immediately placed his hand on Raegan's head and gave her the blessing. He then greeted her a very happy birthday.

Then we girls proceeded to Starbucks for a birthday breakfast. Of sorts. The girls were so excited to be going to a "coffee place", usually reserved for just adults to "hang out" in. Hehehe. They both got HUGE cups of Starbucks hot chocolate for their treat. Raegan ordered a tuna and chicken sandwich (cold) and a chocolate donut. Raine insisted on the brownie expresso --- which had a little bit of coffee in it but was oh-so-DELISH!!! O.M.G!!!! I'm going back to Starbucks just to get that brownie again!

We went back home to "rest" our tummies for our main meal of the birthday day: Lunch at Zensho's, a Japanese restaurant where, for one price, you get to order everything on the menu. They even have a misono where they can cook the food in front of you. The kids LOVE this place. Can you tell yet how we love to eat? Hehehehe.

As a side note, speaking of love for eating, check out Bang's The Accidental Gourmand, a blog that pretty much is all about eating! Hehehe. Good food, great writing! ;)

We pigged out (as usual) at Zensho's until we were stuffed. But since they had no dessert, we (the kids, mainly, and myself) trooped over to the nearby McDonald's to get sundaes, floats and McFlurrys. Yummmm!!!

After an hour or so, the kids all congregated in the La Vista movie room. On the show list for the day were:
I bought some microwave popcorn - butter and cheese flavors - and we ALL ate up a storm while watching the movies! Hehehe. Betwen the kids and myself, we probably consumed 7 or 8 bags of popcorn! No wonder we were feeling sort of woozy by dinner time!

We had spaghetti of course, to celebrate long life for the birthday celebrant. But really, with everything we ate the whole day, we didn't eat much for dinner!

And yes, no scrapping for me. The whole day was spent with my birthday girl and the other kids! :)

TTFN!
