Vegging Out

Oh my aching back! It probably acted up again after my 2-hour stint at the tiangge and all the sitting I did during the kids' swim meet yesterday. Sigh! So all I did today was rest, rest and sprawl on the bed surfing and trying to scrap.

Forced the kids to do their IHPs - Independent Home Program. In short, advanced homework, hehehe. And later on in the evening, we girls watched Just Got Lucky starring Lindsay Lohan on HBO.
Ashley Albright is the luckiest woman in the world, a person to whom all the good things in life have come far too easily. She can pick a lottery ticket at random and hit the jackpot. In New York, the world's busiest city, Ashley never has to wait for a cab. And she has a terrific job as an account exec at a prestigious public relations firm. Everything goes Ashley's way. Jake, on the other hand, is a bad luck magnet. His skies are always raining; his pants are always on the verge of splitting at the seams. His job is cleaning toilets at a bowling alley. But even a steady bombardment of catastrophes doesn't dim Jake's dreams. On this night when dreams can be made or broken, fate brings Ashley and Jake together on the dance floor. Instantly taken with one another, they share an electrifyingly kiss--and with that one kiss, their luck switches places.
Totally light-movie fare, chick-flick for sure as not one of the boys batten an eyelash or even glimpsed at the TV the whole time us girls were watching the movie and stuffing our faces with popcorn, hehehe.

{RANGER NEWS}

The little boy is finally on his way to getting better, knock on wood! The doctor gave him some 2nd generation antibiotics (her term, not mine) which, by the second dose, Ranger was jumping and smiling. Whew! Oh, he had acute pneumonia. Ugh. It's SO NOT a pretty word for a toddler!!! Very close call, and thank goodness that the pedia knows us pretty well and prescribed the antibiotic over a text message. Ranger will be on the antibiotics for a week, plus nebulization for the next 5-7 days. So yeah! He's going to school tomorrow, too!
